In what has quickly become a recurring problem, Sweet Liberty again was taken off the satellite and the internet. Jackie, after having dealt with spotty reception the previous two nights, decided to play a rebroadcast of an interview of Donn de Grand Pre.
Shortwave reception has been poor, even on the normally well-heard 5.070 MHz. Meanwhile, on 3.210 MHz -- the frequency that Jackie deserted earlier this year due to complaints by listeners that they couldn't hear her -- reception was crystal clear.
Are these technical problems a coincidence? The fact that both shortwave reception is poor, and the Digital Subscriber Line from the network to the satellite uplink center keeps going down, and that there is also a blackout on the internet at the same time would be a remarkable coincidence. Indeed, it is possible.
At this point, I am not going to bother posting the audio archive from last night, since it is a replay and we don't have all of it.
Hopefully someone can get to the bottom of this problem soon.
